Service Process

We offer two services

SUMATHI GENOMICS provides two main services: the development of plant-based recombinant protein platforms and RNA research with bioinformatics analysis. Each service combines experimental validation, computational analysis, protocol development, and detailed technical reporting.

Plant-Based Recombinant Protein Platform

This service develops a reproducible workflow for recombinant protein expression. The final outcome is a technology-transfer package containing standard operating procedures, validated data, and technical reports that allow the client to implement the workflow in their own facility.

In Silico Design and Optimization

The process begins with computational design of the target gene. We optimize the sequence for the selected expression platform, assess suitable signal peptides, and prepare the required sequence files and design information. Server and computing systems are used for sequence analysis, optimization algorithms, data storage, and bioinformatics modelling.

Construct Development and Verification

The designed sequences are assembled into suitable expression vectors and verified through molecular analysis. Demonstration systems are maintained for a limited period to confirm construct integrity and stability. Sterile work areas, autoclaves, centrifuges, thermocyclers, shakers, freezers, and related laboratory equipment support this validation stage.

Expression Protocol Optimization

The engineered constructs are tested under controlled environmental conditions to identify suitable light, temperature, growth, and timing parameters. Growth chambers, LED lighting, balances, and pH meters are used to establish reproducible expression conditions and generate the data required for the client’s protocol.

Extraction and Purification Development

The downstream processing workflow is developed by testing sample clarification, lysis conditions, buffer formulations, and purification steps. Centrifugation, controlled refrigeration, freezing, and related laboratory procedures are used to assess recovery, stability, and purification performance.

Quality Control and Analysis

The resulting material is evaluated using analytical methods such as gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, spectrophotometry, staining, and concentration measurements. These tests generate quality-control images, yield data, and performance results for the final technical report.

Final Deliverables

The final package may include annotated sequence files, plasmid maps, computational design data, construct-validation results, a complete SOP manual, buffer and environmental parameters, purification procedures, SDS-PAGE images, quantification results, and a comprehensive performance report.

RNA Research and Bioinformatics Services

This service develops and validates RNA handling workflows and creates customised computational pipelines for sequencing-data analysis. The final deliverables include written laboratory protocols, validation reports, and a ready-to-use bioinformatics workflow.

Sample Quality and Preparation

RNA extraction and preparation methods are tested using suitable control materials. The work focuses on improving RNA purity, concentration, integrity, and consistency while documenting acceptance criteria and troubleshooting procedures. Sterile work areas, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, freezers, and related equipment support this stage.

Library Preparation Workflow

The library-preparation process is evaluated to identify suitable conditions for RNA conversion, synthesis, amplification, depletion, ligation, and sequencing preparation. Thermocyclers, freezers, electrophoresis systems, and quality-control reagents are used to assess library size, quality, and the presence of unwanted products.

Bioinformatics Pipeline Construction

A customised computational workflow is designed for raw sequencing data, including FASTQ processing, quality filtering, alignment, quantification, and comparative analysis. The pipeline is tested with reference datasets to confirm reliable performance and reproducible results.

Final Deliverables

The final outputs may include validated RNA extraction and library-preparation SOPs, quality-control criteria, troubleshooting guidance, sequencing-data reports, analysis scripts, a packaged bioinformatics pipeline, and documentation for future use by the client.
